no matter what you’ve told yourself or what anyone else has told you, you are the HERO of your story.
you’ve chosen a path that is equally fulfilling as it is challenging. much of what you will experience has so little to do with the destination and so much to do with the journey.
as your sherpa, I will help you navigate the challenges on the journey, experiences that will define your character. I can help scout the terrain and carry some of your load, but you are the one called to complete your Hero’s journey.

MONTHLY MEET UPS
we meet in-person once a month and have a 90- minute intensive session to intentionally cover someting specific you want to work on. if you are remote, no problem, we will do a virtual call where i can send notes and screenshares for an interactive meeting.

FREE ACCESS TO CLINICS
in 2024, xulab will be hosting periodic workshops and clinics designed to enhance the creative community with networking and skills. you will have access to any of these clinics free of charge.

WEEKLY CHECK-INS
on a weekly basis, we will get on a 30 min call/video conference to evaluate progess and keep in touch. having consistent communication will develop accountability and frequent access to one another.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
depending on your proximity, schedule, and availability, this mentorship program opens the door for you to experience professional productions by being an integral member of the team.
WORKSHOPS & CLINICS
we never stop learning and should never stop teaching. sharing knowledge not only ensures the transmission of wisdom and experiences to students but also sharpens the teachers to continue to find new lessons.
our workshops & clinics are a platform for this infinite loop of knowledge transfer. each session will be in an unique location with a 2-3 hour lesson plan and hands-on session. there will be a fee for the workshops but included in the mentorship program. to preserve the integrity of human connection, all workshops will be in-person sessions.
topics include:
VISUAL THEORY
photography is literally “writing with light”. the camera can only capture what it sees. we will show you how to use light, the single most critical part of capturing images. beyond light, we cover composition, design aesthetic, and art direction.
PHOTO WALKABOUTS
let’s take a walk, shoot some photos. this clinic is an interactive photo walk that involves being familiar with your gear, the balance of ISO/SS/aperture, and creative composition. we also do this as a community, sharing knowledge and experiences with like-minded indiviuals.

what you charge your clients is a reflection of how you value yourself. learn to unlock your confidence in asking for your value. we will take an in-depth look at proposals and rates, when to spend money on gear and how to plan for the future.
PERSONAL GROWTH
work alone is not enough to fill you. your physical, spiritual, emotional, personal growth becomes a critical component of your professional satisfaction. personal growth also involves learning about others. explore resources and practice in networking and social engagement.
